L’Année de la comète (‘the year of the comet’) recounts the destruction of one world, and the genesis of another. The passage of a meteor near a planet triggers a series of cataclysms and transformations on its surface. Soon, the ice and the stone covering the star give way to volcanic and bubbling activity: plant forms emerge from the ground, the waters become moving, agitated, and the waves break under the swirling clouds…
